Tom Stanton

I am currently appointed as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Wyres lab group in the Dept. of Infectious Diseases. My role involves developing and maintaining Kaptive, a tool and web-interface for in silico serotyping, used globally perform genomic sero-epidemiology on a variety of key priority pathogens. My role also involves performing genomic sero-epidemiology on Klebsiella pneumonaie Species Complex isolates causing neonatal sepsis, and prioritising antigens for a poly-valent vaccine to protect neonates in vulnerable geographies. This work is a collaborative effort between teams at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
